Sugarloaf Development Corporation of Grand Marais, Minnesota, contracted with SAS+Associates to design a proposed subdivision in Duluth, Minnesota. Working with the developers and engineer, SAS+Associates’ proposed lot layout and road alignment is respectful of the site features and preserves the character of the site. Minimizing wetland impact, reducing the loss of vegetation, and working with the topography in siting the roadways and building envelopes.
By placing a large portion of the site in open space, SAS+Associates helped to insure the long-term preservation of the woodlands and wetlands on site, while providing recreational and aesthetic benefits to the homeowners of the subdivision.
